HyperCloud, MultiCloud, InterCloud…What are these?

You certainly have heard of “Cloud” technologies; the on-demand availability of data resources, storage, and computing power without any active management by the end user. So when data management, governance and integration become more complex and the result of the use of more than one cloud for data and analytics becomes inevitable, we tend to use the words ‘hyper,’ ‘multi,’ and ‘inter.’

So why adopt this strategy? Multiple clouds allow increased opportunities for a huge diversity of choice and cost optimization. No single cloud can do everything well, utilizing the multiple cloud approach gives you flexibility in your offerings and can act as a failover solution if or when you require backup for data and systems.
